Tuesday 16th June - Mt. Isa

Tuesday 16th June

On Tuesday we went for a walk up a big hill. When we got to the top of the hill we were climbing we could see our caravan and all the rest of Mt Isa. A long time after the walk we went for a swim the water in the swimming pool is very cold and it is even colder to your face.
This is the view of the caravan park.
This is the view of the rest of Mt. Isa including a mine.
Mum's note:
My main motivation for climbing the lookout was to get closer to these guys, the kites that are prevalent in the skies of Mt. Isa.
Kites circling over Mt. Isa.
We did also go for a drive to see some of the surrounding sites and countryside.
We saw lots of termite mounds.
Because Paul and I have had to write some grants while on the move, we have extended our holiday by a week. We have now changes our plans and are heading for Cairns to explore the Daintree and Great Barrier Reef for a few days. So we are officially not heading home anymore.
