Friday 15th May - Cooma

Friday 15th May

On Friday we went the snowy Hydro discovery center. We watched a video of how water can make eletrisity. I learnt that water can make eletrisity. I think that water is a good way to make eletrisity because it doesn't pollute the world.
This is me with the biggest turbine.

We're at Cooma by the way.

This is at the Cooma play-ground.

We had a really yummy dinner because Mum cooked my favourite (lamb chops in egg and bread crumbs).

Mum's note:
In the main street of Cooma there is a display of 40 flags representing the countries of origin of all the people who worked to build the Snowy Hydro system. The flags are as they were when the scheme was built, so it was interesting to see which ones had changed since. The most obvious to us was the Canadian flag. We also found the New Zealand flag and compared it to our own.

There are also 40 mosaic panels, creating an impressive display.

Here is Dad generating electricity.... enough to boil Mum's kettle, if only he could keep up the pace for 6 minutes.....
Go Dad, go!
Isabel can generate enough energy to cook toast.....
