Friday 8th May
On friday we went to Phillip island. At
the information desk I bought a penguin beany-boo I called him
penggie. (Thanks Grandpa for the spending money!).
We went to a heritage farm we watched a man shear a sheep, use a sheep-dog to round up sheep. The sheep-dog's name was Billie.
We also got to milk a cow but I didn't want to. At dusk we went to a tour that let us see little penguins.
Mum's note: Churchill Island (the heritage farm) is the first location of farming in Victoria, (although only briefly - it was an early test site for wheat and corn, but was then abandoned for a while. Later it was farmed properly for over a century before being acquired by the government in the 1970s). Other attractions we saw were highland cows, peacocks, historic buildings and two Wollami pines. Caleb liked milking the cow.
